WALES
Wales is different from other parts of Britain and just 2 hours from Heathrow Airport. With 400 castles, yet only one official motorway, you have to take things at a gentle pace.
COLWYN BAY
Colwyn Bay is an attractive resort of fine parks and good-looking houses. The pier was opened in 1900 and the promenade stretches for 5km round the bay. It is ideally positioned to explore the Snowdonia National Park.
Nearby Colwyn is dominated by its massive 13th century castle and the walls which surround the town.
